In February, right before break, we asked our students to share with us how Campus Life has had an impact on their lives. Below is a story from one our newest teens who has only been coming out for a few months. Read here what Paula had to say:
“Before I came to Cambridge Campus Life I was in a bad crowd, I was with people that made me do things I would have never done in my life unless I wanted to. I knew this was not a good situation to be in. I never could make friends that well because I tried to be someone that I wasn’t so I could not be alone. When I went to Campus Life I thought I wasn’t going to like it, until I kept going and I started liking it because I made friends with people that would take me as I am. I wanted them to see the real me, not a fake me that did whatever they wanted and believed all there lies. We learned not to put on “Masks” in one of our lessons and I feel like I don’t have to do that at Campus Life. That is also the reason why I brought my two other friends, because they were having some problems in their life that made me worry for them so I thought of the one place that has helped me and I am hoping it can help others as well. “
This is what Campus Life is about; providing teens with a place to come to where they can learn about God and develop relationships with peers and loving Christian adults that will have a positive impact on their lives.
