Vince is a student that has been coming to City Life for the past 3 years or so. When Vince first started coming to City Life he was socially awkward and did not have many friends. This is a tough situation to be in as a high school student at Schenectady High School. Vince was not very talkative at all, but as leaders we continued to talk to him every week and try to include him in different games and activities.
As weeks, months, and years passed, little by little, Vince started to open up and talk more. He would talk more with leaders and students and willingly join in different games and activities. Recently, we had our Christmas party where we partnered with Sonrise Baptist Church and Princetown Church. I had the amazing opportunity to share the Christmas story with about 80 middle and high school students. Vince was one of the students in the crowd.
After the message, students were given the opportunity to accept Jesus into their lives and begin a relationship with Jesus. Vince was one of the students that raised their hands and he spoke with an adult after the message was complete! It has been a long journey with Vince, but it was all worth it knowing that he accepted Jesus into his life. We as leaders at City Life will continue to help and disciple him, and we could use your prayers. Please pray that we can continue to disciple him and pray that he continues to draw near to Christ. Thank you!
