Sean was struggling. He was a Christian, raised in a Christian home, but he felt like something was wrong. Every time he sat down to pray or read the Bible he felt distracted and angry. He knew this was not how it was supposed to be. One day, his friend at school, Chris, was asking him how he was. Sean knew Chris was a Christian too, so he decided to open up just a little and tell him he felt far away from God. Chris was part of the Youth For Christ Core Team at his school. This group met weekly to encourage each other as fellow Christians, be mentored by adult volunteers, and to set goals to share their faith with their friends at school. Chris saw that Sean needed some Christian connection and encouragement and invited Sean to come to the next Core Team meeting. Eventually Sean made it to the Core Team meeting. He asked for prayer about the things he was feeling and about upcoming events that he was concerned about. Sean felt encouraged and things started to change for him through God working through this group of young Christians dedicated to reaching out to their friends.
Please pray for the Youth For Christ Core Team as they courageously share their faith with their friends. This group is dedicated to building up the Christian students in their school for discipleship and growing in their faith and knowledge of the Bible.
