I would like for all of you to meet Josh. Josh has been coming to Schenectady City Life for a few years now and it is always great to see him! He has come on almost every trip we have done, and he’s been to almost every event that we’ve had. Josh made the decision a couple of years ago to give his life to Jesus, which is so amazing!
Since then, Josh’s faith has been put to the test. Just within the past 2 years, his father has been in and out of jail, one of his childhood friends passed away, and another one of his good friends’ niece died in a house fire. Needless to say, Josh has had many questions about his faith.
There were points in time where Josh stopped coming to City Life and would try to fix everything on his own, which is understandable being a teenager in Schenectady and going through these things. Through our leaders continually reaching out to Josh, he has come back to City Life and is working on his relationship with Jesus.
The summer is always a tough time for Josh and most of the other City Life students. There is always an abundance of violence and other negative activities going on in Schenectady which effects our students and their families immensely. So, we are thrilled to settle back into the routine the fall season brings and see Josh on a regular basis. We will continue to love on Josh just as Jesus loves on us. We are so thankful that God is faithful! Please continue to pray for Josh, and City Life as a whole, as we continue to develop authentic Christ sharing relationships with the youth in Schenectady!
