Meet Jen

Jen has been coming to Cambridge Campus Life for a few years now. She is outgoing and so much fun to be around. Sadly, she has often shared with other students and with youth leaders about her home life. Her mom is an alcoholic. Her dad has been clean for 2 yrs. Jen’s mom and dad fight constantly and she often wishes her dad would start drinking again because they didn’t fight when they were both drunk.

Most often, Jen is the one in charge of her younger siblings; babysitting while her parents work and then when mom is drunk. She says Mom is mean when she is drunk. She screams constantly. Jen has her own health issues and has been in and out of the hospital many times since we have known her. She wants to come to Club but is scared to leave her younger siblings at home without her. She often reaches out to the youth leaders and asks for prayer. We encourage her to pray, to lean on her faith. She feels unloved and worthless. She often expresses that she feels like her prayers hit the ceiling and no-one is listening. Please join with us in praying for Jen and the many students we minister to like her. Please also pray for wisdom for our staff and volunteers as we often feel like we don’t have the right words to say, to these hurting kids.
