Meet Chelsea

Chelsea attends Scotia-Glenville Campus Life.  We first met her 2 years ago.  Back then, she would come to club and try to blend in.  She didn’t want to get involved in any of the games or events and would sometimes get angry or upset when we asked her to participate.  She didn’t want to talk about anything.  She said she was there because she “had” to be, not because she “wanted” to be.

Now Chelsea still attends, but she wants to be there.  She sends me excited texts when she knows that she will be able to make it to Friday Club and sad ones when she knows she will be away.  She invites every kid in her class, every week, and almost all of the new kids who have visited have gotten an invite from her.  She gets involved in the games and the activities and has fun!  She talks to us, and shares what is happening in her life.  She smiles and laughs and it is hard to believe that she is the same girl that we met two years ago.

This is why we love that we get to do this!!  The life change that is happening in these kids’ lives is incredible, and we are so glad that we get to be a part of their story!  God is doing amazing things in and through the kids of Scotia-Glenville and we can’t wait to see what He has planned for their futures!
