How to Get Involved
We depend on the involvement of caring adults to accomplish our mission—to reach local teens with the message that God loves them and has a plan for their lives.
We are asking God to raise up an army of caring adults who will establish relationships with kids around the area. We need volunteers and staff members who will serve directly with students, intercessors, and financial partners. Wherever your gifts and talents lie, you can make an eternal difference in a young person’s life.
#GivingTuesday is a special call to action to create a global day of giving that brings diverse organizations and communities around the world together to give back on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. You don’t have to be a world leader or a billionaire to give back. #GivingTuesday is about ordinary people coming together doing extraordinary things. We at Capital District Youth for Christ invite you to join the worldwide #GivingTuesday movement and help redefine the giving spirit this holiday season!
Capital District Youth For Christ’s goal is to raise $10,000 this #GivingTuesday. Please partner with us by giving online under in the Giving Tuesday box or by mail.
Giving can be a rewarding experience for you and for YFC. Your gift gives you the satisfaction of supporting an organization that is totally dedicated to the cause of youth evangelism. Also, it is encouraging to us because part of our ministry is devoted to helping people like you discover and enjoy the stewardship of giving wisely and effectively.

Working with 11-19 Year Olds
Get in on the action! We depend on the involvement of caring, mature Christian adults to have authentic Christ-sharing relationships with lost 11 – 19 year olds in the communities where we have ministry sites. Each ministry site volunteer must go through a screening process before having access to students involved with any of our ministry sites. We offer on-going training to help you be encouraged and effective in your role. Wherever your gifts and talents lie, you can make an eternal difference in a young person’s life.
At YFC, it’s our aim to grow our ministry to lost 11-19 year olds — to those in desperate need of the restorative love of Christ. We’ve established a variety of ways for individuals to join with us, because ministry to students is unique to every community.
As long as YFC has existed, we have been multiplying the fruit of our ministry through volunteers. Mobilizing large numbers of adult volunteers can be very effective and productive in accomplishing the ultimate goal of reaching every 11 – 19 year old in our communities with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Campus Life, Campus Life Middle, City Life, and Core are the national ministry models we have currently. We also have supporting ministry models for 11-19 year olds, Shiloh’s Edge and Sports Ministry.
